Sheraton Hotel & Conference Center Venue Tour & Meeting

Woo hoo!

What a great meeting with Ms. Hoskins at the Sheraton Hotel and Conference Center (Check out some photos here: http://www.sheratonroanoke.com/photos/) this afternoon for a quick tour of our WBHS Prom 2015! We discussed so much and got to see the entire venue this afternoon and I just want to THANK the committee members that were able to come see the venue with me this afternoon.

If you can't tell yet, I'm quite excited about our new venue. This is our first prom at the Sheraton Hotel since I've been the Junior Class sponsor at Byrd and each year has been a pretty fantastic experience. Each committee has been different and everyone is bringing so many ideas to the table. I think that they've got a theme almost picked out and I can't wait to hear their ideas at our next meeting! There are so many possibilities for our venue this year in terms of decorating, but let me just tell you that we are working hard to get a prom that everyone will enjoy.

At this point, we have the Grand Turin ballroom and surrounding rooms at the Sheraton Hotel for our prom. Whoa. That's a lot of room. What's even better is that there is FREE parking at the hotel for our event. With our own entrance. There's no need to search for parking, paying for parking and trying to figure out HOW in the world we're going to get inside that ballroom. It's all there for us.

Another feature about prom this year that I wanted to highlight in advance is that just like last year, the prom ticket price will include the dinner buffet, and THAT is our main accomplishment this afternoon. My committee did a fantastic job picking out our buffet menu items for the event. So, in this post, I will share with you what's on the menu for prom.

Fresh Garden Salad Bar with cherry tomatoes, sliced cucumbers, shredded carrots, sliced mushrooms, sliced red onions and herbed croutons served with two dressing options: ranch or balsamic vinaigrette.
