WBHS Homecoming 2015 Update!

This year the homecoming game is on Friday, October 23rd with the dance following on Saturday, October 24th at the William Byrd High School main gym from 7:00 pm until 11:00 pm. For those wondering, dress code has not changed from previous years and continues to be a semi- formal affair.

Ticket sales are well underway and are now open to ALL STUDENTS as of today, (Monday) October 12th!

Oct. 12th- 21st: $25.00 each (Open To All)

Oct. 22nd- 23rd: $30.00 each (Last Minute Price Open To All)

Tickets will NOT be sold at the door. All students MUST have a ticket purchased by Friday, Oct. 23rd no later than 1:45 pm. No exceptions will be made. If a student's date does not currently attend WBHS, they will need to fill out an Out Of School Date Form (available below, in the main office and outside of room 229) and return it to Mrs. Farrington by October 23rd in room 229. This is a dance for high school students and recent graduates. Middle school students (6th thru 8th) are not permitted to attend.

Non WBHS Date Form 2015: Be sure to return to Mrs. Farrington in room 229 no later than Friday, October 23, 2015
As always, we appreciate all that you do for our students and if you are interested in chaperoning the event, please contact Mrs. Farrington at cfarrington@rcs.k12.va.us or (540) 890-3090.

2015 Junior Class Officers

It was a process in and of itself, but Junior Class Officers have been elected for the 2015-2016 school year. You may think that class officers don't really do much of anything but once students reach their junior and senior years of high school, it is even more important to really think about who you want in those positions.

As the Junior Class sponsor, I lead these young individuals in the planning of the school's two major dances of the year: Homecoming and Prom. It may not sound like a whole lot to it when it comes to planning events like these but it can be very deceiving. Many people come together to make these events a success and it all starts with the students.

So this year, I am proud to announce that our Junior Class Officers are:

President: Jeremy Slater
Vice President: Madison Moses
Secretary: Leah Andersen
Treasurer: Grace Carroll
